Hey, I'm watching Rap Sh*t! I really love how they use social media in the storytelling.

Hollie!!! Hi! That's awesome, I'll definitely check it out. I'm always looking for creative ways to show social media on screen since it's such a big part of all our lives now but not very cinematic

Yeah it was very cool in the way that the main characters are VERY much into social media so you saw when they were live and the comments IRT.

I love that. It's so hard to incorporate social media into scripts in an entertaining way. Will definitely be watching!

THIS is a post for me worth saving and revisiting, thank you for all the good content! (As per usual.) The idea of the "active process of settling our nervous systems," wow. What a concept...

I'm enjoying the new League Of Their Own as well! My husband also had us start watching The Outlaws. Only on episode two, but it's very intriguing.

I'm so glad it resonated. And I'll check that out! Will watch anything with Christopher Walken :)

"...the active process of settling our nervous systems so that we have more access to the present moment." Wow, that is such a perfect way to nail what self-care actually is! I always thought I was quite good at it because I would treat myself to long baths, new books or a nice coffee, for example. But as I get older, I've realised to achieve 'settling of my nervous system', I have to sometimes say no to others, which as a people pleaser, I hate doing!

Recovering people pleaser here, I 100% understand. For me self-care is trusting my intuition, listening to my body, and making choices that actually serve me. It's a hard process, learning to say no, but the reward is immense! But also, a bath can still settle the nervous system!

Lots of good stuff here as usual but "Olga Dies Dreaming" and "I Love That for You" will be immediate tries for me. Thanks for putting this together, Ali!

I just started watching This Fool on Hulu and I'm loving it!!

For the question, I am still working on self-care. I think for me, it's not opening my phone first thing in the morning, and not scrolling before I go to bed. Trying to create distance from social media and control over how I use it is what I'm working on now so that I can take better care of myself.

Some of my Script Anatomy students recommended This Fool to me yesterday! I'm definitely going to check it out this week.

And that's a wonderful place to start with genuine self-care. I think a lot of people will relate to that. I'm still working on not checking my email first thing in the morning. It's a journey, just being aware of your behavior and noting it is a great step.
