Why take a class with me over all the other ones?
Not only have I written for Emmy-winning TV shows and sat in writer’s rooms with people like Reese Witherspoon, but I also have years of experience actually teaching and building my own curriculums. That is important! Time and time again, people leave my classes telling me they feel creatively rejuvenated, excited to write, and surprised by how much they've learned. That’s because I’m a compassionate, thoughtful teacher doing this because I genuinely love it. I go the extra mile to make sure your needs are taken care of, and that every dollar you spend is worth it.
A few things that make my classes unique:
NO notes from other students ever, unless it’s specifically requested or the conceit of the class (ie., pitch group)
I take a holistic approach to teaching. I prioritize each student’s individual needs and encourage your unique voice, I don’t mold you to my writing style or take a one-size-fits-all approach. Writing is subjective!
Unlike a lot of teachers out there, I’m an Award-nominated writer with credits on prestige, Emmy-winning shows, AND I have experience in both comedy and drama rooms.
Prices will always stay affordable. We should all be compensated for our work, but this is about a love of teaching and building a supportive community at In Flow, not exploiting writers.
